Conference proceedings will take place in conference chambers located in the Wieliczka Salt Mine.

The participants in the conference are requested to arrive on Monday, 22.05.2023 at the Daniłowicz Shaft at 8.00 AM.
For those arriving by car, a FREE car park will be made available on 22-23.05.2023 at 22 Edwarda Dembowskiego Street by the Graduation Tower. This is a car park belonging to the Wieliczka Salt Mine. All other car parks in the area are private and paid car parks.
The lift shall go down the mine between 8.00 and 9.00 to arrive on the third floor, 135 m below the ground.
The participants will be headed to the conference reception desk, located in the Cracow Saltworks Museum in the “Aleksandrowice I” Chamber.
There, registration and handing out of conference packages and badges will take place. Afterwards, the participants will move into the “Alfons Długosz” Chamber, where a formal beginning of the conference and the session no. 1 will be held.

The afternoon conference session as well as the proceedings on Tuesday, 23.05.2023 will also take place at the mine, in the "Kazanów" Chamber.
Lunches will be held in the "Warsaw" Chamber and the feast dinner on Tuesday, 23.05.2023 in the "Haluszka" Chamber.
Departures from the Wieliczka Salt Mine will be made via the Daniłowicz Shaft , possibly via the Regis Shaft - in order to speed up departure times.

ZABRZE:

On Wednesday, 24.05.2023, conference participants who request coach transport in the registration form or by email (info@icmum.pl) will be picked up from their hotels in Wieliczka and driven to Zabrze (approx. 100 km) to the hotel "Diament" , ul. 3 Maja 122A.
The departure of the hotels will take place at the latest at approx. 8.30 a.m. Please have breakfast and check out of the hotels on time.
Detailed information on hotel pick-ups will be provided to participants in writing together with the conference programme on 22.05.2023.
For those who have not requested transport and will be travelling by their own car, please also arrive on time in Zabrze at the Hotel "Diament" (GPS coordinates: 50.286784, 18.796258) or directly at the &"Guido" Mine at 10.50 a.m.
Due to the early hour, it will not be possible to check into rooms at the "Diament" Hotel. Luggage will be deposited in a room rented by the organiser and locked, where all luggage will fit. Check-in to the rooms will take place after the conference participants return from the mine in the evening.
In case of delays on the Wieliczka-Zabrze route, conference participants will be driven straight to the "Guido" Mine, which belongs to the Coal Mining Museum in Zabrze. Car parking is located next to the complex.

Upon arrival at the "Guido" Mine, between 10.50 and 11.20 a.m., the participants will go down via the "Railway" Shaft to the depth of 320 metres to the  „Research Chamber no. 8” for the conference proceedings. Please bring your badges!
On 24.05.2023, conference participants will spend the whole day underground. The proceedings will be followed by a tour of the mine and then a dinner in a Silesian style in the "Pump Hall".
After leaving the mine at 10.00 p.m., conference participants will be transported to the "Diament"hotel by coach, followed by check-in and transfer

On Thursday, 25.05.2023, the conference proceedings will take place at a different venue belonging to the Coal Mining Museum - the Queen Louise Adit Complex. Departure from the "Diament" hotel by coaches will take place at 8.30 am. Please, don’t forget your badges!
For those arriving by car, a car park will be available at the complex. Entrance from Rymera Street (narrow street extension), then drive under the Pogoń Hall building, 410 Wolności Steet.

The conference proceedings and lunch will take place in the Chain Bath building (above-ground facility). After the sessions, participants will descend to the KQueen Louise Mine by stairs and will be taken out by train.
At 7 p.m., there will be a transfer by coaches and cars to the main building of the Coal Mining Museum in Zabrze at 3 Maja Street no. 19.

PLEASE NOTE: those who are interested in the "Industrial Upper Silesia" tour are requested to extend their hotel reservation for the night of 26/27 May 2023 on their own and at their own expense.
For all persons who indicated in the registration form a demand for transport from Zabrze (Hotel „Diament”) to the airports in Krakow and Katowice on 26 and 27 May 2023, such transport will be organised. Please submit your requests individually to info@icmum.pl , necessarily stating the airport, date and time of departure.
